Two New Weekend Spots to Try

Tuscarawas County has had a lot of recent restaurant activity in the last few months. It’s exciting to try out new spots and to find your favorite new dishes or brews. Many of these spots have weekend entertainment, too. Here are two new places to check out this weekend:

Craft Bistro and Lounge

104 Fair Ave NE, New Philadelphia, OH 44663 | (330) 432-4488 | Craft Bistro and Lounge Facebook

Craft is located in downtown New Philadelphia offering cool views from the second story. They have an upscale dining menu with quality food and drinks. The cool atmosphere, weekend entertainment, and delicious food will be sure to make Craft a new favorite. With a great cocktail menu, seasonal specialty drinks, and beers on tap— you’ll never go thirsty. Craft also has revolving Wednesday specials, some featuring wine tastings, $10 Craft Burgers, and more. Also, be sure to check out their nightly entertainment lasting until 2 AM on the weekends. My personal recommendation would be for starters trying their beer cheese and warm, delicious pretzels, then for your entree ordering their Craft Signature Burger and Parmesan Rosemary Fries, and finally washing it down with a Honey Bourbon Lemonade.

Hoodletown Brewing Company

424 W 3rd St, Dover, OH 44622 | (330) 447-9354

Hoodletown Brewing Company is located near downtown Dover in an old warehouse. It is Tuscarawas County’s second brewery. The industrial feel of this place allows you to relax and enjoy delicious craft brews. During special events, they have food trucks serving up delicious dining options all evening to compliment your beer. Hoodletown also has order out dining options available from local restaurants that will deliver straight to the brewery, like Penso’s Pizza and Sammy Sue’s BBQ. Their upstairs loft area offers a cool place for you to relax with friends and enjoy good conversations and great tasting beer. Hoodletown also has weekend music entertainment from a number of bands and musicians. This is a must hit spot for you and your friends this weekend!
