On March 27th, #livetusc ventured out for our first meet-up/field trip. It was met with great success! The group met at Daily Grind for introductions and, of course, coffee. After, we headed down the alley to meet George from Museum Acrylics. George gave us a tour of his facility and let us know some of the ins and outs of working in his industry. His work can be found in museums all over the country, like the Smithsonian in Washington DC!
After Museum Acrylics, we walked back down to Ashwood Lane to The Ezekiel Project. Here we met with Rick, who gave us an overview of what his t-shirt screen printing business seeks to do in our community. We learned about the local artists who house their work at the Ezekiel Project to sell, and Rick talked about the Ezekiel Sessions that helps to give a platform to local musicians.
We want to help cultivate a connection within our community. Learning more about what Tuscarawas County and the people in it have to offer is important to us. Be on the lookout for our next #livetusc meet-up!
